Guardian Care School Renovation Program

As a form of care for the education sector, Guardian is carrying out a School Renovation Program at 9 elementary schools across Bogor and Serang regencies.

This program runs from October 20, 2024, to January 6, 2025, involving several volunteers, local residents, and technical staff. The School Renovation Program is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, aimed at creating a suitable, safe, and comfortable learning environment for both students and teachers. During the implementation, various activities have been carried out, including the repair and rehabilitation of toilets, repainting of school walls, installation of washbasins, construction of water storage towers, clean water piping, and the building of dirty water infiltration wells.

The sequence of activities for this school renovation program includes several stages, such as surveys, determination of the type of assistance, program implementation, and reporting. One of the key activities in the school renovation program is the survey, as it is during this phase that the urgent and relevant needs are identified. In this phase, various issues related to the program were discovered, such as: toilet stalls that are no longer usable due to the lack of flowing clean water, permanently clogged wastewater drains, a lack of facilities supporting clean and healthy living behaviors like washbasins, and some schools that do not have enough clean water supply compared to the number of students and teachers, requiring the installation of piping and the construction of permanent water towers along with clean water storage facilities. Some schools even do not have dirty water infiltration wells, causing wastewater from toilets and washbasins to overflow and mix with rainwater during heavy rainfall, flooding the school grounds.

The Guardian Pharmacy School Renovation Program is being conducted at 9 schools, including:

  1. SDN Cinagara 2, Cinagara Village, Caringin District, Bogor Regency, West Java.

  2. SDN 01 Bojong, Kramat Watu Village, Serang Regency, Banten Province.
